Is it right that everything our eyes see is upside down and our brain turns the image the right way up?

There was a scientist who did an experiment where people had to wear a device strapped to their head 24/7. It was made with prisms, and when you looked through it, you could see perfectly clearly, but everything you saw was upside down.
People wore these for about a week and a half, and they started reporting that they saw everything normally again, even with the prisms on. And better yet, when they took the deivce off, everything turned upside down again for another week and a half.
Shows the power of the brain to adapt what we our eyes see into what is actually there.

Yes it is true

try look at:

a picture demonstrates how the light beams cross each other due to a concave lens this result to an upside down picture which the brain interprets.

on http://health.howstuffworks.com/eye.htm you can read about how the eye and brain works together

The stuff is partially right actually the lens focuses the object upsidedown on the back of the retina and the optic nerve turns it.

It does sound pretty wierd to me, sometimes I think that our brain truly doesn't see it upside down initially.

That's how it is! Also, your left side of your brain controls all your right side, vice versa.
