Yes. But apart from very rare mutations, it would have to be the result of a female carrier of the colorblind gene, having children with a colorblind male.

yes it is possible. I had a female teacher that was colorblind and she always wore two different colors of socks. Like one was navy and one was black.

okay, navy blue and black sometimes are hard to tell apart. i was told i am partly color blind. for example, brown sometimes i'd mistake for red and vice versa. yellow and light green. mine is not that severe.

yes, men are XY with diseased X.
women are XX and need two diseased X's to get disease. so infected dad and infect mom or carrier mom.
