Simple..... Halloween or Samhain is a pagan celebration that was incorporated by Christianity to convert us pagans. People are more comfortable in accepting a forced change of religion if they can have some familiar elements such as Samhain (Halloween) , Yule(Chistmas) or Ostara( Easter).

yes in olden times..it was beleived tht on this (halloween) day ..evil forces..devils etc come down on earth ..so everybody dresses weirdly to confuse the demons..and candy was left outside of house or given so tht they dont enter the house..

because its fun. no other reason. try it you dont have to take it seriously, but i bet you have alot of fun. more fun that say, you treated it just as october 31st....another day.....i dont think you need a huge reason to celebrate anyways....just that you love life.....
