excessive weight gain is most likely the cause of your problem. When in doggie still you are restricting the already slowed blood return which causes extra fluid in your leg. You may want to try another position when having sex. To relieve you pain you should try elevating your legs when you are resting, don't cross your legs above you knees, wear support hose, and avoid standing or sitting in one position for too long.

I personally never experience having pain with the veins in my lsegs during sex. However, I do have the veins in my legs that just popped up because I'm pregnant.
Pregnancy makes you go through so many different experiences and it does not mean that you are weird to experience it, it just something that happens too alot of pregnant women...

The weight of the baby is pressing on nerves and compressing stuff so that your circulation is being interrupted.
Some women are predisposed to varicose veins, especially while pregnant. Discuss this with your physician, at least by next visit, you might want to call ahead of that time to inquire. There are some medical conditions that could cause this discomfort so please consult with your physician.
Some of the normal *fixes* for varicose veins are not suitable for pregnant women. The best position to relieve weight of baby without compressing anything is typically on your left side with a pillow between your knees. Put another under your belly if you need to in order to be comfortable.

It is normal to have some discomfort in your legs, normal to hurt after sex, I dunno, never really encountered just my veins hurting before. I mean just like every physical activity you may end up feeling sore or swollen. All I can say is be careful next time and try not to let it get so rough. To releave the pain try soaking in a warm-hot bath in epsom salts. However if your 8months plus in your pregnancy its advised not to take bathes. Im not to sure if muscle rubs are good for pregnant women or not, I know I personally never used them during preganacy.... Just try soaking them and relaxing, get the man who helped make them sore rub your legs "gently" for you.... Good luck!

Your legs might be feeling the strain of the extra weight, but I've honestly never heard of that happening before. Tell your doctor exactly what you are experiencing. He/she will know better than us.
