Well dear I think you are an Indian because Pankaj is my cousin’s name and one more thing that Delhi is not now New Delhi. New Delhi is a part of Delhi and in the south of Old Delhi. New Delhi is the capital city of India since 1912 and Delhi is a union territory in India more like District of Columbia known as National Capital Territory of Delhi and the National Capital Region is a Region include Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Haryana & some districts in Rajasthan.
New Delhi is also the capital of NCT of Delhi.
Delhi is the 3rd biggest metropolis of India.
Locals call it Dilli; Dehli is the Mughal name for the city and Indraprastha is the ancient name for the city by the rulers Pandwas.
Mumbai is the commercial capital of India.
Hyderabad and Bangalore are the I.T. capitals of India.
Mumbai and Delhi both are the fashion capitals of India.
Muzaffarnagar is the crime capital of India.
Kolkata is the cultural capital of India.
Chennai is the automobile capital of India.
New Delhi is like Washington and Delhi is like District of Columbia.
They both are same but the name of a city and a state is quite different from each other.
