Assuming you have taken care of the legal side of this matter, as far as just the web site is concerned, here are the things that you need to do/have,
1) You need to have some kind payment processing service. I know that Intuit offers business account services and they would allow you to process credit card orders. Paypal does it too.
2) You need to get SSL on your site. Without the SSL certificate, all data is transferred in plain text. If someone were to get in the data stream, they can get any information they want about the order (which may include the credit card number and any other personal information). So, if you plan on processing the payment and the entire ordering process on your web site, make sure you get the SSL certificate. You can get one from Verisign. Most web hosting service provide web hosting packages that include SSL. If you don't already have a web hosting service, I highly recommend this web hosting service, https://www.securepaynet.net/gdshop/rhp/default.asp?prog_id=SanctStore&ci=1767&se=%2B Their premium web hosting service include the purchase of a SSL certificate.
3) It would be good if you develop your site using ASP, ColdFusion, ASP .NET, ...etc. or any one of those server side technologies, because these technologies allow you to create web sites with dynamic contents. You can just store the pricing information, item descriptions, ..etc. in a database. You can even store the order information in your database. This would allow you to create an administration type of application to manage these orders; plus, it would give you records for auditing purposes and keeping tracks of orders.
