First make sure that you have the correct breaker for replacement. Turn off the breaker & unhook the wire. Remove breaker, most hook to a rail & pivot in towards the middle of the box. Replace breaker, making sure breaker is turned off, reconnect wire & turn breaker on. Because you are asking how to do this, I assume that you know very little about electricity, so if you don't feel comfortable doing it yourself by all means don't be afraid to call an electrician.

most home bkrs install as plugins. there is some kind of tab, hook, or catch on the outer rail that mounts the bkr while the center has a stab that snaps over the hot buss bar. pull the end of the bkr at the center of the pnl out until it releases and then the outer side will release by a move toward the outside of the pnl or a pull toward you. look at the new bkr for an idea of what holds what. make sure you have the right replacement since there are several different styles and makes and many are not interchangeable. you can shut off the main bkr if you wish and its a good idea for a DIYer.
