There is actually a fee that the must be paid to the organization that maintains the Walk of Fame. It may come directly from the star themself, but most likely from sponsors like movie studios or record companies. They are willing to pay for the publicity.

second, it actually costs around $ 50,000 for everything, and the celebrity or their family pays for it, but the Hollywood chamber has to select the person after they submit an application.
