How long did it take you to get pregnant after you stopped taking the pill? Please, I'd love some stories!

As soon as a stopped taking birth control I found out I was pregnant the next month. I have no problem getting pregnant, I could try for a baby once a month and every time I would be pregnant, I gues some would see it as a blessing but I live in fear of having more children.

This is not my story exactly, but my mothers.
My father was worried about having a second child and my mother told him it would take a while before she got pregnant anyway after coming off the pill. What do you know...she was pregnant with me in that first month!
It can take any amount of time..months even a couple of years, be patient. Your doctor can give u better advice and perhaps some methods to increase your chances of conceiving.

Each women is different. My sister-in-law conceived while on the pill. Another friend of mine has been off the pill for almost a year and still hasn't. I know the general rule of thumb is 6-8 months. Good luck and keep trying. Don't get discouraged that other women conceived quicker than you have.

last year I stopped taking the pill on november after 7 years.My hubby and I decided that we wanted to start trying by this time this year so I stopped a year before. We continued having sex with protection (condom) and 5 months later I was late, took the test and it was positive right away (I didn't have to wait a minute)...I had stopped the pill and the condom didin't work....it was a surprised but we were very excited about it. Now I'm 28 wks pg and can't wait to meet my little baby girl due in jan.....

I missed my pill for a week thinking it will be ok, it wasn't! I now have a 14 month old son, packed in uni, moved to England to stay with his daddy!

my sisters' 3 kids are all pill babies.
did you know that taking antibiotics kills the pill?
she didn't .
