Hey...I am Greek and still blonde haired and blue eyed naturally...although my skin is slightly olive.
I don't think all people assume that, although I get lots of questions like "what are you?", and my favorite "You are mixed, what are you mixed with?". He thought I was interracial (not like there is anything wrong with that, but what a weird question to ask someone!).

You really did take your angry pills this morning, didn't you? "White" is a relative term. Everyone is not either white or black. You've got eastern folks and Asian folks and Latino folks and native Americans etc etc.
Besides... as a pasty white brunette, I'm wondering since when did "people" assume all whites are blonde? I think "people" have known forever now that some whites are brunette and some are redheads.
Who are these "people" you're talking about...? Nazis or something?
And what, pray tell, is a "South Italian"? South American, I'm familiar with... Southern Italian... Sicilian... but South Italian? Is that like Pasta and Grits country or what...
Ciao, y'all

it doesn't matter where u were born....there is certain Greeks and Italians who are 'fairer"' then those ,easterner /north Europeans .......been white is not about having a fair hair or eyes.,.but SKIN TONE.counts mostly..for howmany yellow haired people has got yellow olive skins and so on...?even those in Scandinavia. So where u were born, and what is ur genes does not matter, for "white" is a matter of skin tone,.not of hair, and eyes ..race,or place of origin..and .there's more southamericans or Americas ppl with fair skin.then there is in Europe and so on,and certain Greeks or Italians has got pale milky skin,as well.well sorry for my speech.just speaking up facts..just think that genes or regions of birth has got nothing to do with RACES where the west is concerned...

Why do people even bother with race? It doesn't fit into today's world anymore.
Speaking of Southern Italians, even though we are considered white, we are definitely mixed with Greek, Persian, Arabic blood, There is even a possibility that we may have Chinese and sub-Saharan African blood in us, too. So it is asinine to ASSume anyone's race.

since when do all people assume these things about white people? everyone knows greeks and italians are greasy, dumb, dumb dark versions of their northen counterparts the intelligent Europeans(English, French, and Germans). Thats why the U.S. banned immigrants from Southern Europe for a long period, because test scores had proven that Northern Europeans were more intelligent. Thats where your people earned the title of wop (without papers), cause you weren't technically allowed in.

What qualifies as white? Are you speaking of a lineage from northern Europe?
Then if you are, you area non-white also. Greeks and Italians are groups who the Arians hate also. Get your facts straight, don't write about something you know nothing about.
I am of mixed heritage, I am proud and educated and tolerant of all people, no matter who they are, even bigots as yourself.

I sure don't...I've looked in the mirror before. ^^
Dark brown hair, hazel eyes (the irises contain green, blue, gray, brown, and a little bit of a gold/yellow color)...
Well, my skin is another story...my face and arms are red-brown (mostly red...ouch), but the rest of me is 'interior white', as an old co-worker of mine once noted when he saw part of my leg as I rested against a wall.
The funniest thing was when another white guy had black hair and told me that my hair was too dark to be natural-he was serious! Heh, priceless...

It's important not to place too much importance on race. We're all just Human at the end of the day.
