I think I have hormonal issues. I had my tubes tied August 25th, but last night my husband and I were making love and when we finished I started crying. I wasn't sad- I just really really felt like I loved him a lot and started crying. He became concerned that he'd hurt me or that I was holding something back from him- but I was finally able to get him to understand that I didn't know WHY I was crying, but that it wasn't SAD crying... Anyone ever had this happen to them?? I think I'm going insane..

Natural. Don't worry about regular hormonal stuff.
Worrying about the thing will drive you nuts more than
the thing. Let yourself be. It's ok.

Actually this is very normal. I am 28 and had my tubes tied 15 months ago after my 1st duaghter. I was put on Zoloft for quit some time. I still take it, It is a hormone thing along with slight depression. Atleast that is what my doctor said. She and I were talking and saw things for herself, I started balling out of nowhere. It is some crazy stuff but that's part of being a woman, that's for sure.

Hi, Well i had my tubes tied after i had my 3rd child and they do say that it can cause a little depression to get them tied cause in the back of your mind you know you can have children anymore..

I will tell you that i cried on and off for months and it is perfectly normal,, i even contacted my doctor because i thought something was wrong with me. She told me that about 80% of women get this and it will wear off, and it did with me but i guess it is always with you in a way because you know you cant have kids and it does come back to me every once in a while but i dont get upset like i used to..

I would sit down with your husband and explain to him that your body goes through alot of changes and this is one of them and it takes time but it has nothing to do with him.. at least in that way.. Sometimes men need to be reassured that they didnt do anything, they dont ever want to hurt you becasue this is what happened with my husband and when we talked it helped alot.. and both of us felt better

maybe if you talk to him and get everything out it will help you too.. Dont feel like your going insane because this is so normal.. even though i felt that way too!! Your body is a mysterious thing but it will regulate and all of a sudden you wont even realize that you were feeling this way.. just give it time..
Good Luck..

No dear, you are not going insane. Even though you had your tubes tied, you still have hormones that still will go wacko on you. It is good to cry--it cleans the soul. But, if it gets really out of hand, go and see your Dr. because you may need some leveling of some kind.

Please know that you are completely normal. I can have tears triggered by a sad song, so when I'm bursting with pride watching my son in a band concert. I try to control the tears when in public, of course. But sometimes I feel like I'm tearing up when I shouldn't ( at least the same situation isn't making other around me tear up!). It hard to explain to others where the sudden tears came from because they are not sad tears, just an way for emotions to leave my body. An occasional tear release does a body good, just hard to explain.

That's pretty common, particularly during good sex. The endorphin release just "lets go" of a lot of tension and stress.
