I have taken Viagra, per my Dr.'s instruction, but to no avail. When I do get my initial erection it is very hard and normal. But it soon becomes flaccid.Would DHEA or similar supplements help.I wonder if it could be due to testosterone loss?My partner is very understanding but I am not.I eat right and exercise daily. No smoking or drinking.

I just love when people copy and paste answers here without the slightest idea what they are talking about. I also suffered from a failing erection for years and my urologist finally recommended injection therapy to solve the problem. I have been using "Caverject" and/or "Edex" for a number of years and the results have been fantastic. Both produce an erection than can last up to four hours making multi orgasms possible for the man. Even after you have an orgasm, the penis stays erect and I mean erect. The erections are very hard and very rewarding to both partners. It might be worth a try for you. And, sticking a needle in your penis is not as bad as it sounds. No worse than a small shot in the arm and the results is well worth it.

I am going to presume that you have ruled out diabetes, high blodd pressure and medication (especially antidepresants). I think you may have some psychological problem bothering you - you might not even be aware of it. Examine things as see what it might be...work home idk. When you got the scrip for the Viagra, did your Dr. check your testosterone levels? Although your problem doesn't sound like low hormones. DHEA is a hormone found in the body and it is the precursor to both estrogen and testosterone. My wife and I both take it. I haven't noticed any real change except maybe that I feel "better", but that may just be a placebo effect. However my wife has been taking it for about three months and her hot flashes have stopped and she just had her old "monthly visitor" for the first time in over a year. Try the DHEA - I don't think it can hurt, and again, think about what may be messing with your brain as far as stress goes. There are a multitude of treatments out there....See a specialist that just handles ED. Don't waste your money on "herbal, "natural", "vedic", or some such BS treatment. Good Luck

A variety of things can cause an erection to disappear prematurely. Stress, fatigue, over work, medications, some foods or other ingested substances, certain pain killers, etc.

First, review all the stuff yo ingest and try to eliminate anythign (food or medicine or anythign) that has not been used until recently.
Second, relax and make sure you not only get lots of exercise and eat right but that you get plenty of sleep, you reduce stress levels from work, etc by dealing wiht whatever is causing th estress and even removing the need to provide sexual performance. And as for that last one, keep in mind that at times we all feel this need to perform to some standard and that demand we put on ourselves by itself can cause enough stress to inhibit sexual performance.

Third, get your doctor to refer you to a specialist who can thoroughly check for any problems with the penis or associated parts. Whiel this may not be the case, it is possible some internal apparatus has failed and needs special attention.

Sounds to me like you are so worried about not keeping an erection that when you do get you turn yourself off.
Is it only with your partner that you have this problem?
Are you on any other kind of medication? Try some kinky stuff. I've also heard alot of good things about horny goat weed. I've asked questions about that, but they either get removed for adult content, or no one knows anything about it. I've read on numerous websites that horny goat weed has no negative side effects, so you don't have anything to lose. Good luck.

Eating lots of leafy greens, whole grains, oysters, watermelon, and blueberries (most any fruit will work, really) will help you give your body all that it needs to improve the quality of your erections, while cutting out processed foods, cigarettes and alcohol will provide further benefits. Add in a healthy dose of exercise at least three times per week, and you’re well on your way to better sexual health!

I have this problem all the time. Just because I wear a bunny suit does NOT mean I'm fair game in the office. Seriously. And when I catch them starting at my tail they turn around and act like I'M the obsessed one. I agree with you. Just tell them to ask you out like normal people. I love my dad too.

you need to see an urologist for a complete male physical----prostate gland exam, tesicular exam, ultra sound of penis, blood work to test for testosterone levels, diabestes, and normal heart activity. the are many causes for the penis losing its sustainability. there are also numerous other drugs and gadgets that your doctor can prescribe for you to try out for success in the bedroom. (cialis, levitra, penis suppositories, penis injections, penis pump, etc). the important point is that there is help available.
don't give up hope. it's taken me a year to receive a final diagnosis that my blood is going into my penis but is flowing right back out. the doctor ruled that i have nerve damage due to being overweight and having diabetes. i've since lost 140 pounds, but the damage is irreversible. also, i'm taking 3 different anti-depressants, which are killers in the bedroom.
please see a urologist for the required testing to get to the bottom of this condition. also, please remember that 3,000,000 amercian men seek help for this problem each year; another 3,000,000 ignore the problem and just give up on having a sex life. i commend you for wanting to solve the problem and for your determination to kep your sex live alive and thriving. it will happen!
Best of luck!

go to Adam and eve.com. I am sure you will find what you need there.
Or have you had a stress test lately. Stress can cause such problems, have you had your heart checked, blood flow has a lot to do with such problems also.

GOOD LUCK

I guess you should talk to your Dr. again.
