Can anyone suggest a way to clean silver and white gold jewelery with everyday household products etc ? Someone once suggested cola, has any body tried that ?

Use an old toothbrush and toothpaste. Works like a charm!

make a paste out of baking soda and water, then rub it into the jewelry with a toothbrush or cloth.

A mix with baking soda and a few drops of lemon.
then brush them with a toothbrush, and rinse with water.
Will look like new.

As far as silver jewelry is concerned you can wear it. The oils in your skin will naturally clean silver.

Use powder soap and water. Soak your jewelry there. Scrub it by using old tooth brush.
