I heard that all players of World of Warcraft (WOW) are required to buy and install upcoming expansion or they will not be able to connect to the servers anymore. Is this correct or is this a lie. I was planning on getting it, but some guildmates may not get it right away.

No, this is just a lie. If you don't get TBC you won't be able to create a character who's one of the new races, or get some of the new quests, or hit the new level cap. You'll still be able to play. In fact, the last patch Blizzard is releasing before the expansion allows people who do not have TBC to still get the new talent trees and see the new races and stuff.

Although why anyone would not want TBC is beyond me, I'm really excited about it!

TBC received't boost your RAM utilization, a minimum of not by technique of a significant volume. What you'll see is a upward push contained in the quantity of disk area needed for the game. TBC is in straight forward terms more effective in recreation content cloth (more effective territories, characters, products, larger stages, and so on...). Does everyone comprehend if the subsequent boom will contain TBC content cloth or would i want to purchase both expansions to get all the content cloth? I already have TBC, in spite of the indisputable fact that the entire relations is addicted and that i visit in all chance ought to purchase 3 more effective copies. i want to easily ought to purchase WoW and the hot boom if accessible.

It is not required, anyone who tells you otherwise is lying, all required modifications of the game are released in the patches, of course they'll have to release a huge patch with the expansion to make sure it transitions with the players who don't have it.

You won't be able to play as one of the new races, visit the outlands, or get a flying mount, but you should be able to play the regular map and hit 70. I also want to wait for the price to go down and the majors bugs to worked out before I play =)

I don't think that is correct. I think it just gives you more options to do, but I'm not sure.
