There's no name for it as it's a universal experience.
All children fancy some adult or another at some time - whether it's a pop star, teacher or best mate's older brother.
It's called a crush.

Its natural for teenagers to fancy adults. But its for the adult to understand they are young and its part of their development into adulthood and going through puberty which makes this happen. Its usually looking for a role model and someone to look up to

A male child who fancies his mother is said to have an Oedipus Complex.
A female child with the same predisposition for her father is referred to as having an Electra Complex.
We can thank Freud for those.

there is absolutely nothign wrong with a kid "fancying" an adult. ok who here didnt have a crush on someone older? especially during those puberty years. my 5th grade teacher was smoking hot, so if i got the chance to check her out i did. and i did. alot.
every generation has those women who the teenagers love. farrah fawcett? brittney spears?
im 20 and mine was marina sirtis that chick from star trek: tng. im not a big trek fan but for some reason every time i saw her it was like "bing" and up popped the lil general.

Children don't have the hormones that will make them "fancy" anyone the way adults do...there is no such word for it because the concept doesn't exist.
All children naturally love their care takers and it is no indication that they "fancy" them.

no coz lets face it, an adult is fully aware of what he or she is thinking and what they want whereas a child just has little crushes because they dont understand things or how their own mind works yet

there is no NAME for a child who is "attracted" to an adult -
they may have a crush (a childlike fantasy if you will), these things pass.
A pedophile is a child molester and I understand that is FOREVER
