Are you an international student who wants to study in the US or are you a US citizen who wants to study abroad? If the first, then there is no such thing as a B.A. in Medicine in the USA. You must obtain a bachelor's degree before you can apply to Medical school. Most students major in Biology and minor in humanities (Philosophy is a popular minor among pre-med students), do lots of community work, work with their pre-med counselor and professors to prepare for the MCAT exam and must take a minimum of 2 Biology courses (with lab), 4 Chemistry courses (General and Organic) and 2 Physics courses along with some necessary Math. Getting admitted into a medical school in the USA is a very competitive process and some schools do not admit international students due to the hefty tuition cost (over 200,000 USD for 4 years). There are some great medical schools in the USA - check the AMA (American Medical Association) website for more information.

If you are a US citizen interested in studying medicine overseas, you could go to Europe or Australia where standards are similar, or you could go to South America where the tuition cost is much lower and where you can specialize in tropical medicine and rare diseases. Regardless of where you choose to get your medical degree, you must pass the USMLE exam before you can get admitted into a hospital residency program or before you can practice in the USA.

Why in the world would you want to do that? America is the cutting edge of medical research and training. Dude, many degrees from other countries aren't even recognized here, they aren't allowed to practice until they obtain a US degree in medicine, law, lots of jobs & professions. Dude, I used to work at McDonld's...you know those people in there everybody thinks of as losers....Lots of the foriegn workers employed there have degrees out the ying yang from their countries, Doulble Ph.d's and stuff....here? They have to make ends meet until they become certified by American standards! Now if you were gonna go to England, France, or Sweden to study or something...Cool, but apart from those countries...The United States ain't hearing it when it comes to outside degrees.
