Phenylpropanolamine has been used for many years in OTC and prescription drugs. While it's not yet banned in Canada (to answer your question) , doctors do not prescribe drugs containing it very often, and pharmacists will make sure that you understand the risks very clearly before they fill a prescription that contains it.
