Iskander Mirza was the first president...

He took office as the last Governor General.. but when the first constitution of pakistan was framed later in 1956, it declared the head of the state as President and not Governor General since pakistan was declared a republic in the constitution and no longer a part of the commonwealth of UK

this made iskander mirza the first president of pakistan (as well as last gov. general)
