There is a list of 17 countries considered to be biologically "megadiverse".These are mostly in South America but include Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Papua New Guinea, and also Madagascar, South Africa, India, Australia and China.

Offhand, I'd probably say most of them are in South American and SE Asia.
