We go to our friend for Christmas parties, and you could suggest that they bring Fireworks, just a few! Why not suggest that they buy a gift for someone else who will be at the party, a kind of secret Santa thing?????

We do this and it is really good and makes a change from everyone bringing the cheapest drink they can find in the cupboard or the same old sausage rolls, chicken legs and vol au vents.

Hohoho :)
First, make sure that the party should be at the right date which suits a maximum of people.
Have the people prepare a wish list with 5 items under 10Pounds.
Have people exchange their wish list so that other people can buy the gifts. Making everybody participate in the preparation will bring you more people.

Party games!
Decorations
balloons
tinsel

A Christmas present wrapped up to the value of a £1 or £2 or whatever you chose. The presents can then be put in a bag and each guest choose one. Alternatively they could be wrapped up for 'pass the parcel' which is great fun for adults and children alike.

Games, not Monopoly, you don't want them to start fighting over Christmas. Get their own CDs then you can play each person's favourite song and do a dance to each one, thats if there's not too many people.
