Torchwood without a doubt. Don't get me wrong, I love Dr. Who but Torchwood was excellent. I hope it isn't a one off series.

Dr. Who, definitely. The character is well-established, for a start!
Torchwood has only had three episodes aired to date, so you can't really compare until it's settled down a bit. I think it's a promising start, but the characters need to be rounded out a bit more. It's fluffier than Dr. Who, but the lines are very good. I like the dark sense of humour running through, which can be a bit more overt than in Dr. Who, but the latter is good purely because it does work on so many levels.
Anyway, I'm taping Torchwood - let's see where it goes!

Tough call,I love Doctor Who and when the last series was on it was the only TV prog that I watched ,strange but true. Now that Torchwood is on, I'm exactly the same,I even watch all the repeats,Admittedly part of the reason why is the gorgeous John Barrowman, but I love science fiction and the writing is brilliant, which is only to be expected from the DW team.I like the way there are references to DW and I'm looking forward to series three, when Captain Jack finally gets to meet the Doctor again.Well, getting back to the question in hand,at the moment DW has the edge, but it's early days yet,so who knows,I may change my mind.

Episode three of Torchwood was a bit disappointing, but it's too early to make a judgement on the series.
Doctor Who has been around for 43 years. I doubt that Torchwood can match that.
It's a bit like Buffy and its 'adult' spin off, Angel. Angel never matched up to its more established parent.
So Who, not 'Wood.

Doctor Who, but let's give Torchwood a chance.
Having said that I think the BBC is going a bit overboard with it's spin-off's of Doctor Who.

Torchwood,
The second episode had a woman snogging another woman, oh yeh, it also had 2 blokes having a kiss! But the women having a snog, that was good!
The story line was a little dodgy and not sure about all the welsh actors, I got nothing against the welsh, just not sure about these actors, especially the cop lady!
See how it goes.
It's a bit more grown up and I never did like Billy Piper in Dr Who.

Dr Who. Torchwood is Captain Scarlet re-packaged. Evens so, I do like Torchwood. Could be that, as I see more episodes this will change, since I am not too keen on current Dr. See what the Xmas invasion is like.

You can't possibly make a decision this early. Torchwood's had three episodes and Dr Who's been going for decades. The competition is clearly unfair.
