You need to make an image of the partition where your windows operating system is loaded and save the same in another partition of your hard drive or on a cr or dvd.. try using `Norton Ghost' for the same or any other `drive imaging' software...

When a hard drive is formatted, everything on it is erased. All operating systems, files, folders, programs, everything. That's why backups are stored on some other media (CDs, DVDs, etc.)
