Race is a socially defined "category" of people. It was invented by people. Scientifically, there is no "race" your either human or you aren't. Skin color, psychical characteristics and cultural beliefs differ between many regions- everyone is different- theses attributes are only a man created way to categorize people and differentiate people from eachother.

It is a group of people living in a certain place or country, practicing their own customs and tradition, usually with same skin color, similarity features, beliefs and ways. Example: I am a Filipina,, I belong a race in Asia wherein we are brown colored skin people,, not so tall but not very short people... Usually women here are petite but cute like me,, hi hi hi.... If you see Filipina or Filipino who are white skinned w/ prominent nose and tall.. they are no longer pure Filipinos.. they are already mixtures of races... We have different traditions and culture cmpare to some other countries even here in Asia continent...Chinese got different cultures too, their skin is yellowish white.. Caucasian got different race too.... I hope you can understand what I mean.. by race..

back is the early days of the seventies when i worked with a man who called himself buddha who got a football scholarship and studied to be a historian and we worked together on the loading dock outside of carlsbad where the potash dwells and we would drink malt liquor and buddha like it he liked it a lot and so me times he would become jovial and at ease and would allow such tidbits to fall from his plate: sometimes when i fill out a paper and they ask for my race, i take the time and write in INIANNAPOLIS 500

that was buddhas concept of race back in the early seventies

there is the human race, horse race and race fields (sorry, I meant rice) but the human race is actually a species.
The idea of race also refers to sub groups among humans, such as Africans, Semites, Caucasians.
It also refers to subgroups among dogs and cats.
so race is a subspecies, with minor differences between races but all belong to a single species, which means they can interbreed successfully.
