The worst thing is that society would be handicapped by the lack of instant communication, but we would, as always, adapt. The best that would happen is people would be forced to spend more time meeting and talking to each other face-to-face.

Egads! Heaven forbid! :-) The worst scenario is the Jetsons would move back in time and live like the Flintstones. The instant communication we have grown used to would greatly be missed by so many. The convenience of data at our fingertips would be gone. It would feel archaic to revert back to the days before the www. On the other hand, the best we could make of it is to spend more time with loved ones while inventing a new web of communication. Fun question! Thanks.

the worst, everyone & thier Mother would be finding out info @ the library via books & we'd have to wait forever to get the book
we would have to call people we'd rahter e-mail because they talk to us for a long time on the phone
we would get more mail since people who don't like the
telephone or live far away would write instead
The best......no more internet bills to pay

the internet is the form of enormous portion of maximum people's lives that maximum people would not understand what to do if it close down. i imagine that lots of the international places economic equipment might want to close down. that's a disaster for this united states of america, better so than we already are in.
