How do Muslims feel about gays?

I do not know much about this religion so I was just wondering if they believe it to be an abomanation.

Islam considers homosexuality to be clearly sinful. As far as Islam is concerned, it is a profound mistake, specially that humans are not homosexuals by nature. People become homosexuals because of their environments.

The Qur'an and Homosexuality:

There are five references in the Qur'an, which have been cited as referring to gay and lesbian behavior. Some obviously deal with “effeminate men” and “masculine women.” The two main references to homosexual behavior are in Surah 7, verses 80 – 81, where the Qur’an says that:

*{We also sent Lut. He said to his people: "Do ye commit lewdness such as no people in creation [ever] committed before you? For ye practice your lusts on men in preference to women: ye are indeed a people transgressing beyond bounds.}*

Then Surah 26, verse 165 says that:
*{What! Of all creatures do ye come unto the males, and leave the wives your Lord created for you? Nay, but ye are forward folk.}*

But I am am an atheist, so what would I know; as a person without belief?

Yes, but all religions view homosexuality as an abomination. Muslims just cannot openly act on those feelings. I have been told that they will be killed immediately. But when it is all said and done, there are gays who are Muslims, Jewish, Christian..etc.

Homosexuality is a sin in Islam, Just like premarital sex and adultery.

in many Muslim countries the practice of homosexuality is against the law.

personally i dont approve of this life style but they also don't bother me.

if that's what they wanna do then so be it.

A friend of mine went travelling throught India and Pakistan and on one night him and his friends were drinking and smoking canabis with a couple of border guards. A little later in the night the guards "tried" it on with my friend and his mates.

So assuming they were muslim, I would say they didnt have a problem with it.

Of course, they could be hypocritical.

normal ones feel pity about them
softcores actually like them but stay away from them...

but if you ask are there gay Muslims, indeed Muslims like to keep things like this to themselves, so you never know...
