They are both about the same size and both have that crazy stumpy tail thing. Their feet are pretty similar too. Has anyone ever gelled up a guinea pig to make it look like a hedgehog? Or are there any people who can tell me if these animals are in some way related?

Thanks!

Guinea pigs do not have visible tails. You are thinking of hamsters. They do have tails, but they are impossible to see unless you cut into them! (ouch!)

Guinea pigs are not related to hedgehogs. However guinea pigs are related to porqupines. Hedgehogs are not related to porcupines.

I have 11 guinea pigs and 1 hedgehog and they are not alike whatsoever (going by behaviour). My hedgehog is also half the size of a guinea pig.
