Sure why not. SOme parents think it is ridiculous but that is their problem.

sure I told people where I met my partner. we met on planetout.com....she saw my profile and emailed me. within a couple of weeks we had our first date and, well, we've been together 2 1/2 years...living together the last 2 years. I also met my ex in a chat room years ago....
I've known lots of people who met the personals in the paper or on the internet....it CAN work!

I talked to my family and friends and told them I met my husband on the internet. They were very supportive, even when I moved to Bogota Colombia to be with him, since he can't come to the US.
