no longer probably...had a transistor radio around interior the latter 60's, and their songs on the time kinda mixed in with all the different good 40 tunes being performed on 60's AM radio via the Monkees and Blood, Sweat & Tears and the Bee Gees and Simon & Garfunkel and Petula Clark, and so on, and so on, and so on... What I nonetheless consciously remember is Elton John's version of Lucy interior the Sky With Diamonds and Kasey Casem's remark on those Saturday nights that directed me to the Beatles. Then the checklist label re-released have been given To Get You Into My existence in 1976 and that became interior the best 40 lower back and that rather did it for me.

I'm Down. Certainly not the first one I heard, but the first one I remember (I was very young then!).
Still a favorite, 40 years later!
PS I was a teacher's pet too! I've been a HUGE Beatles fan for decades. Be sure to check out their Anthology DVDs, CDs, and book, in addition to the original records, of course. (I used to cut lawns to make money to buy their records, back when they were on vinyl. Now it's fairly easy to get all their official studio recordings on the 13 original releases and Past Masters vols 1 and 2.) Also, www.thebeatles.com - official website.
Oh my, I could write a book! I'm glad some young folks like them too.

Oh you're awesome for asking this question, because I still remember like yesterday,---hahaha, no pun intended. But I was like 8, I was in the car with my grandma, it was nighttime, she had just bought me this turqoise radio headphone set, and I heard the song "love me do" and I looooved it so much. I'll never forget how I liked the harmonica in it.
