the first LP I bought was Blondie. then I started working in music but was a bit of a vinyl snob. I started getting sent loads of promo CDS for work but seemed to refuse to own a CD player. By the time I had 200 CDs, I got over my snobbishness and bought a CD player. I then went on a spending spree to make sure I had all the classic albums that I needed to play on my new CD player. I bought about 20 at onbce which included Television's Marquee Moon, Love' Forever Changes, Jane's addiction's Ritual De Lo Hanitual, the Velvet Underground, Flaming Lips, Blondie (AGAIN..), Adam and The Ants ( I had found the bargain ones in FOPP by now)and so many more.

Afterall that I reckon that makes Blondie my first as that was both vinyl and CD!

The first one I bought was "Relax" by Deetah back in the late 90's(strictly speaking it was a tape not a CD). I don't own it anymore and can only remember the opening words something like "Relax, enjoy your mind...". Back then buying your first piece of music independently was a big thing for me, that's why I can remember the title and the singer but not the actual song.
