Well technically the Athlon X2 is a dual core, because dual core just means that the processor has two cores. Now if you are talking about the Intel Core 2 Duo, the Core 2 Duo is better, while if you are talking about the Pentium D, then the Athlon X2 is better.

depends....
If You're a gamer - U should have Athlon x2 or FX
for any other stuff like Internet, typing pictures and movies Intel is for U.
I would still chose Athlon for everyday use...

I have Just now came out of presenation of AMD. And Swapnil Parulekar - Executive business development of AMD swapnil.parulekar@amd.com is able to convience m that AMD is better then Intel

Intel is coming with new Technology in Next Processor generaion which they have bough from AMD no u tell y? intel if u want refer to any hardware tech website u will come to know only one thing that performance wise AMd is better then intel
