Black people used to make up a larger percent of the population a couple of years ago. The Black population was 41 million now it's 39 million.

What caused this? Is the Black ethnic group in America going to slowly dissappear?

We got smarter! Back in the day black children were having children. Believe it or not a lot of the young black culture are now trying to get into college and do something with their lives. But there are still some who prefer to die as gang members. I'm a black woman and I have 2 adult children and I thank my God everyday that they've never been in any major trouble since their childhood. You know why? Because I would tear their as*ses up if they gave me any problems. And I think if we talk to our children and try to get them to understand that peer pressure is for the weak, we as black people wouldn't have all of the burdens and labels put on us! Black girl/women are not cocking up their legs having babies left and right anymore. Their planning the future so that it works for them. And that's a good thing. Go to college, get a career, then think about marriage and family.

There are a lot of Blacks having babies outside of their race causing the Black population to decrease and the bi-racial population to increase dramatically. Right now, Bi-racial, and Hispanics make up this country's majority.

I agree what the others have said. It is most likely because blacks are having babies with other races and they are no longer all black, they are bi-racial.

Maybe they're mixing more with other races nowadays? I'm sure there more interracial relationships now than there used to be, because they are generally much more accepted now than before.

are you speaking of only the black population in the US or can I use AIDS/HIV in Africa...in my guess? If it's in the US only then I have no idea..hadn't heard that before.
