Some of my favorite bands are:

Radiohead, Explosions in the Sky, Streetlight Manifesto, Counting Crows, Smashing Pumpkins, Spiritualized

I like some emo music, and I can't stand classic rock or rap or r&b. Any suggestions?

This may open the results a little, I like punk rock and ska as well.

I like Billy Joel, and love theatre music! Les Mis is just about my favorite music!

Since you like Smashing Pumpkins (great band by the way), do you like other 90s alternative? Like Alice In Chains, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Nirvana, or Stone Temple Pilots? Check some of that music out.
