You may try apple juice. If you use apply juice for babies go ahead. If you use the juice for adult please add water 1:1. What fruits did you give your baby? apple is good too. Keep drinking water.
You may also want to call your pediatrician's office and ask a nurse about it.

First, when discussing your baby's health, I would always recommend asking your baby's doctor. But it does sound like the baby is a bit constipated. Trying a little bit of fruit juice (mix it half juice half water if you are using adult juice). Especially prune juice, just be sure to water it down. You could also try feeding your baby some baby jar fruit - but not bananas as that can have a constipating affect on them. More water can also help loosen the stools. But it may take a little while for baby to adjust to a new formula. I would check with the doctor and see what they think. Good luck.

your baby is old enough to be given fruits and juices regularly. When giving juice put it in an infant sippie cup due to the higher concentrate of sugar. Fruit juices are a natural laxative they work great for sofening stool. If this doesn't help speak with your pediatrician there may be a complication with formula although at this age it is unlikely.

Is the difference between Nan 1 nad Nan2 higher iron content? Iron supplment can ause constipation. Changing a formula very quickly can cause trouble too. So if you do discover that Nan2 is higher in iron, then you should gradually introduce another formula maybe going back to Nan1, but take a week or more to do it. Introduce one bottle a day, then after two days introduce two bottles and watch BM changes.
If your baby is starting on cereals try to start with a single grain at a time, such as rice first, then going to perhaps barley, or oats, then finally if all have been tolerated, again very gradually, you can go to a mixed cereal. Give the baby's body time to adjust and show any signs of reaction between new introductions.
Allergies can present and be missed if you go too quickly. Allowing time for changes to occur can alert you to a problem.
All three of my kids have food allergies that are mild, but by eliminating the food in question symptoms disappeared. My adorable baby girl suddenly developped a rash all over her face from her nose to her hair line the doctor said it was cradle cap, but it wasn't in her hair, or scaley of crusty. I took oats out of her diet and the rash went away. We found out years later that she is allergic to wheat and all of it;s relatives including oats. Celiac disease can go undiagnosed and have many unexpected symptoms ranging from failure to gain weight, diarhea, constipation, malnutrition, rash, hives, aches and pains.
As the primary observer of your baby you would be the one to notice any of these. Take your time they are only little for a little while. Some day you will look back and go"where did my little baby go?"
Laughter,
