I have some ancestors from there, well, had some ancestors...

Hey, which is it, really? you can't HAVE something that is totally gone, can you?

So I liked this, from the Reader's Digest, where the tourist lady was in her rented car and stopped at the traffic light, so taken by the scenery, that she missed two cycles of the green!

A Scottish gentleman (most are, you know!), who was patiently waiting in queue, tapped on her window and asked "Would you be waiting for a certain shade of green, Lass?"
