My second to the oldest daughter ( I have 5) didn't have any hair to speak of until she was about 3 1/2. We used to call her our little que ball, in a loving way. Kids develop different things on their own time table. I wouldn't worry about it at all.

I am not a mother, but I was pretty much bald until I was 2 and a half or 3. I had no illnesses or anything. I just had fine hair, and still do. (Though it thankfully did grow in!) What hair type do you and the father have? If one or both have very fine hair, this could be it. I don't think you have anything to worry about, but that is not a medical opinion, of course. If you are really worried, take her to her pediatrician. They can easily do a little blood work to check hormone levels and make sure everything is in balance. As far as foods that stimulate hair growth, I can't think of any. Anything rich in Vitamin E would help. You might want to think of starting her on some children's vitamins like Flintstones or something along those lines. As long as she seems happy and healthy, I wouldn't stress about it. Good luck to you!

Don't worry, your daughter should start growing hair in a couple of months most likely. My daughter was nearly 3 before her hair began to grow. I wondered if she was ever going to have any at all. There are no special foods that will encourage hair growth. Just make sure she eats as well balanced and healthy diet as you possibly can and hang in there.

My daughter didn't have much in the way of hair until she was about 2 1/2. She's 4 now and has plenty.

My cousins daughter was the same way. She was a little over two before her hair started growing. Now she is 6 and has gorgeous long brown hair.
