i was thinking of maybe wearing to my mum friends house a denium skirt,black tights,white shoes but tehy have a small heel and a white top.i dont have to dress smart.

I would always advise, dark top with dark tights as this balances. A white top will draw even more attention to the white shoes and this will make your legs look much shorter. - You are effectivley cutting yourself in two, with this outfit and ideally you want an all-over look, regardeless of how tall you are.
If the shoes have a small stiletto type heel, make sure they are a clean colour of white if you are really settled on wearing them. - Also, make sure that you are wearing a very low denier tight : 15 denier max.. This is slightly more elegant, especially if the skirt is short. 40-60 denier tights will draw more attention to the shoes. Alternitivley think about a pair of white trainers. - This doesn't always make legs look shorter, and can also give a smart but relaxed look, with either sheer or thicker tights.

Only wear the white shoes of you're in Essex.................. sorry Essex gals - only joking !! Seriously, the white shoes are a No - I watched a fashion programme that teamed gold shoes with black tights but that was with a gold top as well - that looked nice. With denim and tights I would play safe and go for the black boots look. Have a nice evening xx

I wouldn't personally put white shoes with black tights, no offence but I think it would look cheap.
The skirt & the tights sound good but how about teaming it with black shoes instead? Or knee high boots if you have some? That would look pretty funky.

don't listen to what people are saying, only old women wear brown or skin tone tights. Black opaques would be cute (theyre big now in London). If your denim skirt is short it will tone down the look. white shoes will look gorgeous, it's nice to wear a little heal with a skirt.
No matter what stand up tall, smile and be confident, wear your outfit, dont let it wear you!

Not the white shoes. White shoes are a dubious choice anyway outside of summer time and with black tights - definitely not.

Personaly i wouldnt wear black tights and white shoes!!dont think it really goes,but you wear it if you feel happy in it x

Sounds ok to me apart from the shoes that is why not try balck shoes or boots
