Like Maid Marion I've been reading Jane Eyre again - love it.

But, you know, none of the books I've read recently have been all that great:

A Long Way Down - Nick Hornby (bit disappointing, usually love his books)
Shakespeare - Peter Ackroyd (interesting stuff, but very plodding)
An Innocent Man - John Grisham (not as enthralling as I'd expected)

However, I'm about to make a start on We Have To Talk About Kevin - Lionel Shriver, which has had brilliant reviews, so I'm hoping it'll be a bit better than the others.

hey just read 'The Time Travellers Wife' - Really Good. If you like chick lit try 'Bet me' by Jennie Crusie - amusing most definately. Jean Sasson is good for real life women in the middle east stories. Also there is a list of Books to read Before you Die - All the classics which are worth a read.....

I am currently working my way through three books. One called Falling Awake about lucid dreamers and crime - Krentz I think is the author. I am also reading a book on modern Christianity called Blue Like Jazz - I'm not a Christian, but a very interesting read. And lastly I'm working through a crime novel by J.D. Robb - who is an author I love, but I can't remeber the name of this book. But everything I've read by her is great.

Senor Nice - autobiography of Howard Marks, sequel to 'Mr Nice'. Excellent Read! Howard was the UKs biggest dope smuggler until his arrest in 1988 when he got 25 years in Terre Haute Penitentiary in Indiana US - he got out on parole in 1995 and wrote Mr Nice. Senor Nice is what happened to him after he was released! He is a very fascinating chap, an Oxford Graduate in fact, and he's currently touring the UK.

I love to read so I go through quite a few books and not all of them are great but the book that I recently read and moved me to tears was
Marley and Me.

Just thinking about makes me warm and fuzzy inside.
