You should know the rules by now?
Sit on the bus or train, look straight ahead. Do not speak to children in case people think you are a sexual pervert. Do not have chats with women, you will be accused of sexual harrasement. Under no circumstances speak to someone of Asian extraction, for fear of being accused of being an Islamic fundamentalist.

Whilst spanking a female colleagues bum may seem like a harmless bit of fun, if the female colleague finds that gesture offencive, she may bring an allegation of sexual harassment.
Harassment and Bullying is defined by ACAS as any attention put upon one by another which the receiving party finds inappropriate or offencive
Hope this answers your question

If it is a close friend it might be consider harmless fun. I don't know if it rises to the level of sexual assault in any case, but it would be considered inappropriate touching. Many people are very protective of their bodies and take offense to violations of their personal space. I for one do not like touchy feely people. You know the ones, they want to hug everyone they meet, or must place a hand on you when having a conversation.

I read a story a while ago about a guy that got charged with sexual assault for slapping a female police officer on the bum. So I wouldn't reccomend it unless you are in a relationship.

If it's not your girlfriend or someone that's interested in you sexually, she may very well see it as an assault. That's really the kind of behavior that should not go on between co-workers at all though. Besides the question of whether it's "all in fun" or "not fun at all", it's thoroughly unprofessional, and has no place in the work environment.

Depends where you are and how well you know her. In the USA, from everything I hear, you'll most likely get slapped with a sexual harassment suit. In the UK there's more chance it'll just be taken as a bit of fun - but even so, I still wouldn't recommend it unless you know the girl pretty well.

It's assault if she didn't want you to touch her bum. So because what you did and said could be seen in a sexual context then unless she was ok with what you did then you could be in a bit of hot water

"Who's the Daddy?" sounds so naff. Try, sorry about that, I couldn't resist it, your bum is so nice, just like a peach. I'll try not to do it again. And hopefully she'll say, that's already, thanks for the compliment, spank it anytime you like. BTW, get the movie Secretary on DVD. The secretary gets spanked by the boss when she makes mistakes. Quite erotoc but very very funny. Enjoy

"20 years ago it would have been a bit of fun, however in this day and age, it is sexual assault. I think it depends on the girl and how she feels about it. I certainly wouldn't advise doing it though..

LOL very dangerous ground and the sort of daft thing I'd do and certainly not in anyway meaning to offend, but unfortunately a lot of people would find something like this offencive so a lot safer if you save it for good friends and colleagues who you know would appreciate the humour.
