my worst job was being a cleaner .... i used to clean this pub and when u are cleaning vomit out of a urinal and a bad bout of diarrhoea in the toilets u know u are in the wrong job !

The worst job I've done was kitchen work in Germany. I was pregnant and ill at the time and had to do 14-hour split shifts six days a week until about 2 weeks before the birth. It absolutely knackered me and I lost all my body fat which I still haven't managed to put back on 20 years later. I was on my feet all day and when I got into bed at night my feet would really sting and stop me from sleeping.

I took a job once, and the guy led me to a heated vat of cough syrup, with a canoe oar in it, my job was to "Stir" it all day. I asked where the bathroom was, and skipped out the exit. I took a job once for a utility, the hours sucked, (rotating shift) the work was hard, I worked every damn holiday, week-ends, etc. (no life) what made it worse was the pay was fantastic, (I bought a house) I did it for 15 years, then had to get another job in the same field but w/ normal 9-5 M-F hours, THANK GOD I DON"T HAVE TO LIVE LIKE A BAT ANYMORE !

Telemarketing! It was my first job. Although I made good money for a high school senior ($9.25 plus bonuses), the job sucked. (Yes, that was considered good money when I graduated in 1993!!). I worked until 11pm on school nights. I worked every weekend. I got cursed out on a daily basis by the people I was calling. The system was automated and randomly dailed and you hoped the name of the person popped up on your screen before the person picked up the phone. You also hoped it was a name you could pronounce. I was trying to sell credit cards with special logos/pitcures to (mostly) teachers in New York. I would never do telemarketing again unless my life depended on it.

I wouldn't say it was the worst but it was hard and tiresome. I worked for a cleaning company and the worst experience I had with that job was when we had to clean in a church and there was two coffins inside. I was fine with it until I got a closer look at both and both were occupied!! Talk about freaky scary! I was so spooked the whole time and was so glad when it was time to go!...never again!

I have had a job cleaning tv's in an unventilated room with meths, filed in a basement for 4 months solid, delivered fridge freezers to tower blocks.
Any of the above.
Then I developed my plan for world domination.

On the dray - delivering beer to bars - after day one every muscle in my body hurt! I got in to a nice office after 2 weeks - and did nothing but shuffle papers and stuff. Work is the curse of the drinking classes.

Cutting stones in a factory and the co-workers were so lousy they didn't tell me when and where they went to on the lunch break on the first day. Must have been something about the factory itself, it had been part of a prison before. Thanks god it was only a holiday job.
