i learned a very interesting thing in therapy and that is that its never about the other person you see your own behavior in this person if you think about it youll know what it is that you dont like about your behaviors

If you are 100% sure you find him irritating then try avoiding him for a while. Usually though, such emotions hide a love denial.
Try kissing him and see what happens..
