Don't go there u will get stuck with the bill... Instead go to the city and inform them that your rental is not up to current code regarding water conservation... It's the law now a days... Also there are many cities that offer a free toilet exchange. Bring in your old high flow and receive a new low flow.... But that's a pain... I would just report the fool and he will have to retrofit the entire property with low flow NEW fixtures, which will make him wish he just changed out the one toilet for a hundo instead of a few k to do the entire building.... Go get him! Basterd slum lords!

or just fix it yourself.. It will need a new "wax ring" installed they cost around $2.00 at home depot and then a bit of caulking around the floor to toilet seam.... easy money...

Be careful! The writer above is correct about your toilet going overboard in the midst of your complaints. Not only that, but in a lot of states, if you're under a month-to-month rental lease, the landlord doesn't necessarily have to give you a reason to boot you out. You may find yourself with a new toilet... someplace else!

Twist the toilet base that way the crack spreads more, making sure there is some water coming through it! Then contact the landlord and let them know the toilet is not holding water because the bowl in cracked! Good luck, i hate slumb lords!

Well, you want to make it look like an accident.

You could try loosening the bolts or the sealing around the bottom and wiggle it until it breaks. However, if you always complain about the toilet, and it suddenly breaks, they may get suspicious.

Dump something that will solidify down the toilet. Flush a rock.
