did it with my bf but forgot to take the pill until we were done, have not skipped any pills this month plus these were the pills that make you have your time of the month-period. what is the chance that something will go haywire/wrong? i am 22 and it scares me since i am working on my degree and so is my bf. ne help plz? should i wait a few days and take a test?

i have been taking the pill since February...never skipped any days on any of my other times..the thing with me is that if it were not for my time of the month to come on time then i would stress which a couple of times have delayed the time of the month by up to 1 month at one point-me stressing out that is. i just dont want something bad to happen to me that's all. any suggestions on how to relax when school is also making me stressed out on the top of this?

ok first...what do you mean you forgot to take it until you were done?? that's nothing to worry about...it's not like you have to take it before sex for it to work! lol. you just need to take them at the same time each day. the problem is that you said they are the sugar pills...the ones that make you get your period.....which don't protect you......you should be using condoms when you are on the sugar pills. does that mean you weren't using any other protection??? try not to freak out.... i'm pretty sure you usually need to be off the pill for a couple of months to get pregnant easily..so you should be ok.....but i mean if you are on the sugar pill it means you are about to get your period.....so just wait and see...do a test if you are really stressed, but just try and chill out until you know for sure. in my experience you make yourself sick with worry usually for nothing in the end!!! good luck! ;o)

hey darl, well im 22 also, just about to finish my degree, i had unprotected sex with my partner, cept im not on the pill, so atleast you got that one up on me. How long have you been taking the pill? If you have always remembered it and have been taking it awhile, it would be working, therefore chances are less likely. However it is still possible as the pill isnt 100%. I guess you ahve to wait till ur next period, if you get it.
I been told to wait until when ur period is due to take the test, for more accurate result.

You are fine if you were on the last row of pills, and even if you weren't. The pills rarely fail if you take them every day, even if you vary a few hours.
The pills tell your body it's basically pregnant in order to stop ovulation. No ovulation, no pregnancy.

the pill is 96 percent reliable so it doesnt matter if you have been taking it for a very long time there is still a chance that you can get pregnant
