So long as Republicans OR Democrats are in power troops will continue to die in increasing numbers!

Simple history 101:

(republican is the whole republican party in government, the congress, senate and whitehouse staff up to and including the president. democrat is the democratic so-called opposition in the two houses)

republican: we gotta invade Iraq
democrat: um OK.
BANG
republican: Mission Accomplished
democrat: YAY! (phew we were on the right side)
Iraqi's: you'll pay for that ya bastids!
republican: Bring 'em on
democrat: are you sure?
republican: forget abhu graib
democrat: OK I guess, but then there's oh .. never mind.
republican: we've installed democracy
democrat: Yay, I guess of sorts, erm kinda.
republican: we don't like thier prime minister, they have to have a new one
Iraq OK
democrat ...........um yay for their democracy?
republican: stay the course
democrat: stay the course.. sure thing.
republican: you dems are not stay the course
democrat: yes we are!
republican: No you're NOT! you are whiney liberals
democrat: well the course isn't exactly working like you said it would
republican: stay the course
democrat: well, yeah I get that, but the course is going somewhere bad
republican, aw you're just cut and run.
democrat: no we are not.
republican: STAY THE COURSE!

Death toll estimated at 500,000+
Forward base Falcon BOOOOOM!

republican: um......... things are difficult over there.
democrat: Change course! QUICK!
republican: you're just cut and run
democrat: No I'm not and anyway, it's better than being stay the course when the course is heading over a cliff
republican: We've NEVER been stay the course!
democrat: WTF???
republican: we need to win in Iraq
democrat: well, yeah, but define what a win is?
republican: you're just cut and run
democrat: you're just an idiot,
republican: you're Osama'a best friend!
democrat: your party is full of paedophiles and criminals
republican: oh yeah that's rich, remember CLINTON?
democrat: that's so lame, Iraq is YOUR mess what're you gonna do about it?
republican your a chicken, you'll give in. the terrorists will kill us all in our beds if you win
democrat: The mess is your fault
republican: You are just wanting the terrorists to win you america hater
democrat: you a$$hole
republican: liberal chickenshit!

etc etc

HEY! WHERE THE HELL ARE THE GROWN UPS OVER THERE?

It's possible that pulling out prematurely, before the region is stabilized, will lead to it becoming considerably less stable than it was before we went in, for several reasons:
1) It will send a message to the insurgents (and the terrorists) that we're WEAK.
2) It will most likely allow the terrorist attacks that we were experiencing pre-9/11 to continue, and escalate.
3) If it gets worse (providing we leave early), we'll have to go right back in again...but with more troops...and the insurgents and terrorists will fight back twice as hard. If that happens, I could see us losing THOUSANDS of brave men and women every day.
Truthfully, staying in Iraq now is the lesser of two evils. Believe me when I say that I feel every death of every service person there...I think, "Oh, it could have been my husband!" or "It could have been one of our friends!" (A couple of the casualties actually have been friends of ours!)
I wouldn't want to have to make the decision...either way is wrong, but which is more wrong? The alternative to what we face now could be catastrophic. The insurgents want to place another regime in charge that would make Hitler and Hussein combined look like angels. Is this what the world needs?
I'd prefer another Vietnam-like situation to another World War. If there's a third world war (if it hasn't started already, this conflict continues to escalate in the middle east, and there is much anger simmering there), there may not be anyone left to tell the story of how it began.

Edit: kenhallonthenet's answer is HILARIOUS!

Let's see we've not supported his not having a plan course of action so far, and so he gets to run the war HE started with HIS plan,How's he doing so far? BTW what happened to the thousands of weapons destined for the Iraqi forces that the U.S. taxpayers bought but according to an audit by Bush's people just sort of disappeared? I ask again how's you "hero" doing so far??
And to clarify things for you idiots on the right....It' Bush's war He and Rummy make the plan the congress oversees what the executive branch does but they don't make plans. This is Ws mess remember when Colin Powell told him"You break it ,you own it"? Well wingnuts time for you to own it the dems don't need to give you the plan you never had in the first place!!!!!!

The Bush administration does just about any thing they want, no matter what the Dem's, the United Nations, or any one else thinks.

The fact is Bush has his own agenda, now and befor the war started. And I assure you this agenda is fueled by a lust for power and greed. The same things most all wars are started over.

The blood of our fallen service men and women, is on the hands of the one who put them there!!! GWB

Its been working that way so far. I don't see any reason that will change any time soon. Terrorists watch CNN (the Clinton News Network) too. It keeps giving them hope. I just pray they don't hear about NPR! But with ratings that low, it stays pretty much under the radar.

We know Bushs plan is not working, we don't know about any other plans. It would be nice if the candidates spent more time presenting plans instead of calling each other names.
