That's a tough one... but I have to go with... Michael Myers... since he was the first "slasher". I remember seeing the original Halloween at the drive-in when I was young... hard to forget the young Michael Myers in his clown suit... it sure didn't help my fear of clowns any! It was a great movie for its time.

That's a good question.

I'm taking Jason. He is the "face" of slasher flicks. Kids always dress up like him and I still think the old school hockey masks are scary. Leatherface is a close second.

Great Halloween question!!!

Definately the guy from Texas Chainsaw Massacre. I mean, he's real for hecks sake! What could be scarier than that?

Or you know, we could get a philosophical and say that the ultimate villian in slasher flicks is the protagonists own fear.

1st. Freddy Kruger.
2nd. Jason Voorhees.
3rd. Michael Myers.

STOP IT!!!!!!
I hate that bloody song.
I don't even have to watch the film to get the shivers.

Pinhead is the ultimate slasher villian but, he is also a hero in the later films.

Its got to be Pinhead, he dont give a flying f**k about anyone or anything.

i've always been a fan of michael myers. he is the only one that could really creep me out and still does to this day. all the other guys i laugh at and cheer them on. i guess michael is so scary because there could be an actual psycho person like him out there.
