Any recommendations of the best pubs/bars in Sheffield? Are there best areas/streets for this? Also, any good restaurants?

Ecclesall road is the best place for a colection of restaurants (and a few pubs), nights out - see whats on at 'City Hall' - usually something everyweekend - always busy and a good night.

Take a look at this Link-Full of reviews of Places to eat in Sheffield.
West One Complex off West Street has The VK Bar,and 3 Great Restaurants(Suit all Pockets)
Then you are onto either Division Street for bars or West Street(All Centrally Located!)
If you Like Real Ale try the FAT CAT on Alama Street(Down by Kelham Island Industrial Museum)

Division street is the area for a lads pub crawl.

To be honest, Sheffield is just an awesome place for a night out but is a bit big for a town centre, it's quite spread out a would so i recommend you try and find a local to show you where to go.

Things seem to change quickly, where was banging a few months ago is now empty i suppose because choice is so massive.

Walkabout is good for live bands and is always busy, a good night guarenteed there.
There is so much to chose it really depends what your into, i used to live there and still go back on a regular basis just to get my fix.
