How can I go into business for myself out of my home?

I have social anxiety and have been suffering from depression lately. I do have a job, but it's getting to be more difficult for me to leave my home, plus it doesn't do very well paying the bills. I was wondering what types of jobs earn a good income out of the home and how I would go about getting more information on them? Please, no spam.

Hey you guys the person asking the question says they have social anxiety and heck now-a-days with the high crime rate, and the world going nuts...I can see why they would want to work at home! lol

I don't blame folks who think that way. There are a lot of good legitmate businesses but most of them require you to talk to people and for someone that is shy that wouldn't work. I found one where you dont' have to do presentations and sell and stuff like that.

Also I noticed you said no spam and that's good because most home business sites if you go there they ask you for your email address so they can spam you.

One of the first things I would recommend that you do is start thinking about your interests/passions... and go into an internet business that is based on that. Why? Because it makes the work a lot easier.

Answering the following questions should help you develop ideas:

1) what websites do you visit when you're just surfing online?
2) do you have pets?
3) do you play and sports?
4) do you collect anythings?
5) do you have any specialized education?

After that,you've got to decide the business model that you want to use - do you want to develop you own product or do you want to be an affiliate marketer (market other peoples products)?

I had a thought but it wouldn't work for you since you have social anxiety.
My mom left her job after a few months of doing Home and Garden Party. It has doubled her income since she started doing that

But its a party planner type deal. You go to peoples houses and do product information and get orders and stuff. Its really cool actually! And its pays the best for the designer as well as hostess. If you think you might be interested let me know !

The United Way Agencies should have some information for you on training, job placement, at home work for the disabled, and other resources for help. Call them... TODAY!!! If you do decide to work from home, it's not easy, but you are far better off with your own business getting 100% of profits after taxes and expenses. When you work for others, they make the money. As I know from experience, there's no job security working for others and home positions and part time help are the first to go at cutbacks.
