I think that's a violation of privacy (yes, even criminals have rights). There's a webcam of Alcatraz but of course that's no longer in service. There's one at the Anderson County Detention Facility, a sheriff's department jail cell.

prisoners should be at our mercy not vice versa ... but we are obligated to provide work for the con to spare the burden of tax payers and hence serve their sentences in humane conditions with possible rehabilation at the cons expense and encarceration
for citizens protection not revenge as justice and ethics demand .
higher workable standards should include life for repeat offenders in sex as well as murder before the second offense . once there is an injustice nothing can balance it out yet protection of the just is required regardless. a work force of prisoners is just and lifers cost less than capital punishment could allowin this system.
