Love is a very powerful emotions. It has enabled mothers to leap thourgh flames to save their children, children to lift hundreds of ppounds of metal to save their parents, lovers to fight aganist packs of wild animals to protect their loved ones. However, the human body can only take so much, so it is possible while in protecting a loved one, that one can face a challenge too great to overcome. If the love is powerful enough, they would still attempt to remedy the situation. There are insufficent words to truely explain why, people are simpley compelled to attempt help the ones they know and love, some more then others.

I would run into a burning building to save the people I love. I would sacrifice myself to save them if I had to.
That's what love is. You put them first.
Christ so loved us that he gave His life to save us from sin. Not that all of us are grateful (or even recognize or believe it).

would you be willing to die for your wife or children if they were in danger, and the solution to keep them alive was that YOU'd die?
do you love them enough to do so? probably not....
