Having studied this at University, I think it's a brilliant idea, if we can get it to work. It would be the greatest reliever of human suffereing since antibiotics!! The range of things it can treat is enormous!
I understand why people have moral objections; however, I don't think this should stop its development. Anyone has the right to turn down medical treatment, like Jehova's Witnesses refuse to have blood transfusions as it is against their beliefs. So I think that the treatment should be developed, and then people can be given the choice whether or not the accept the treatment in their own situations.
I do not see why those who have no objection to using stem cells should be denied it; but that's what will happen if research it stopped entirely.

Stem cell research is a great break through in medical science.
If we were to not explore the advantages of this science because of moral and religiouse reasons, then I would be more than willing to see all who tries to stop it convicted of obstruction to the betterment of mankind and jailed.

I say they should do it. Make it available to those who want to use it. If the ones against it don't want to use it then it wont be forced onto them. Watch how quickly they change their minds when someone they love could benefit from it. After all this is Amercia aint it!

it is absolutely the most exciting discovery in human health ever, next to clean drinking water & sanitation & the dicovery of pennicillin.

Good idea. My dad has Parkinson's & it is horrible to watch someone you love become physically inacapable of everyday things. Anything that can help overcome this must be good.
