Why ride a 125cc scooter when you can have a 125cc. Motorbike? Take your tests CBT, Theory/Hazard Perception and Practical and join the hundreds and thousands of happy bikers. You would be safer to. Do you really want to be put in the same class as these idiots on scooters. If I can do it and now ride a 500cc, I'm sure you can. Give me a bike anyday.

As stated you can ride upto a 125 on a full car licence with L Plates BUT you need to do a CBT first. Unfortunately a CBT will only last 2 years and then you will have to retake unless you pass one off the bike tests.

"If you obtained your car licence before 1 February 2001 you do not need to complete a CBT to ride a moped."
You can ride what is clased as a moped on a full driving licence which I believe is a restricted 50cc bike without doing a CBT but they do sugest you do it anyway.

In order to ride a 125cc, you will need to do a day's training in the form of CBT. It's very easy!
